Training at Cape Fear Combat Arts is rooted in the Indonesian martial art  Silat Buka Lingkaran and shaped by modern understanding of anatomy, movement science, and human performance. As a certified SBL instructor, NASM-CPT, and registered nurse, I apply principles of structural balance, joint integrity, and progressive overload to ensure that every session builds capacity safely and deliberately.

Having spent over 25 years in acute care and martial arts training, I’ve seen firsthand how modern life erodes strength, mobility, and confidence — and I’ve rebuilt it myself. As a registered nurse, NASM-certified personal trainer, and certified SBL & SBL Fit instructor, I combine traditional martial arts with modern exercise science to help adults move freely, build resilience, and reclaim their physical confidence.
